On May 15, 2024, Future Focus Solutions & Pharma Co., Ltd. took a significant step toward building a safer Cambodia — partnering with the Cambodian Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to donate Vivest Powerbeat X3 AED devices and deliver comprehensive First Aid and CPR training to the CDC team in Phnom Penh.

Why This Matters: Cardiac Emergencies Don't Wait
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — in an office, at a meeting, or in a corridor. Every minute without defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by up to 10%. Having an AED on-site, and staff trained to use it, can make the difference between life and death before an ambulance arrives.

What Was Donated: The Vivest Powerbeat X3
The Vivest Powerbeat X3 is one of the most advanced AED devices available in Cambodia today — and one of the only models with a full Khmer-language interface. This means CDC staff can confidently operate the device in their native language under the stress of an emergency, without language barriers slowing response time. Key features include step-by-step Khmer voice guidance, automatic shock delivery analysis, and a compact design suitable for both workplace and public settings.

Hands-On Training: First Aid and CPR
Alongside the equipment donation, FFS delivered a full First Aid and CPR training session for CDC team members. Participants practised chest compressions on professional manikins, learned how to attach and operate the AED, and ran through the response sequence for a cardiac emergency scenario. Training was conducted by FFS-certified instructors with hands-on guidance throughout.

Building a Safer Cambodia Together
This initiative is part of FFS's broader commitment to public safety in Cambodia. Beyond supplying world-class medical equipment to hospitals and government facilities, FFS believes that life-saving tools should be accessible and usable by anyone — not just medical professionals. The CDC partnership is one of several public safety programmes FFS has undertaken to expand AED coverage and First Aid awareness across Phnom Penh and beyond.
